We generally prefer to supply our Premium Orange or Grey Polyurethane multicore power and control cords, however on special request we also make Economy PVC multicore power and control cords.
These PVC cords are considered “Economy” versions.
Performance wise they are very similar to our 240v PVC mains Flex cords.
We don’t make the extensive range of varieties as we do with the premium polyurethane cords:
We supply a limited range of sizes and configurations.
Example
- 7G0.5 Black
- 7G1.5 Black
- 12G1.5 Grey
- 18G1.5 Grey
These economy cords are almost all made to order, and MOQ’s usually apply.
Coil Lengths include:
- 300mm
- 500mm
- 1000mm
- 1200mm
- 1500mm
- 1800mm
- Custom coil lengths made to order (MOQ’s apply)
Straight tail length:
- 150mm
- Custom tails lengths made to order (MOQ’s apply)
These cords are rated to extend three times the compressed length ie a 3:1 Ratio.
Note: Unless specifically indicated, all curly cords are supplied UNTERMINATED.
Ask us about outlets as well.
I am looking for a cord 4 core 1m curly with a 1m straight tail to go
on a control for a recliner.
Hi Damien,
I believe we can help you.
But we have seen quite a variety of cable types used for these sorts of things.
We will need some more information to try and match your cord.
Can you please take give me as much detail as possible.
For example:
Any printing on the cable.
Diameter of the cable.
Size of the cores inside.
Does it get hard wired? Or use connectors? If so…it would help to know the details of the connectors.
Pictures may also help.
All the best…
Paul.

Hi Fashad,
I’m thinking the orange polyurethane cords as shown: https://www.curlycords.com.au/home/power-and-control-curly-cords-pur-orange/
might be suitable.?
We only supply them unterminated, you must get your electrician to fit them for you.
All the best…
Paul.
Hello,
I am looking to do the same thing, have a cord over our kitchen island that extends when in use and retracts when not. Did you find a solution?
Hello Liz,
These days we have these retractors.
https://www.curlycords.com.au/curlycords/curly-cord-retractor/
but…they may be to “industrial” for a domestic application?
Hi
I need a cord for above a kithen island bench!
2.5mm x 3mtr white
Cheers Zac
Hi Zac!
Thanks for your inquiry!
I assume that would be 3 core (2 core & earth) and 3m extended?
I’ll shoot you a quote shortly.
All the best…
Paul.
We require a curly cable about 1.5 metres long with six internal conductors, this is used on a horse massaging unit (horse ate half of it) only needs a short tail on each end 75-100mm.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Ron
Hi Ron,
Thanks for your inquiry.
I’m not familiar with the technical requirements of these cords.
Do you have any more information?
What we need to know is the voltage rating and wire size.
Are there any numbers printed on the existing cord?, or any details from the manufacturer?
All the best…
Paul.
Hi , looking for a short curly cable that is 4 core and the cores are 3mm , would you have such a beast?
Hi Ben,
Just wanted to clarify…when you say 3mm…do you mean the automotive term 3mm, or the electrical term 3 square mm (mm²)
If the automotive term…we have a 4 core 1.5mm² which is about 3mm auto.
If you mean the electrical term square mm, we do a 4 core (including earth) 2.5mm²
How long would you need the cord to extend to?
Hi Paul
just after a 12core 1mm
500mm long coil with 150mm tails
in black or gray
cheers Ryan
Hi Ryan,
I’ll shoot you an email now, with the quote, and I’ll include an ordering link.
Best regards
Paul.
Hello
I am looking for 12v 4 core curly cable for a replacement on a boat electric motor. I guess I could use the 7 core cable you offer and just not use 3 of the cables. What is the price on a 1m length of cable? No straight ends required.
Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
We do a 4 core in the Orange Polyurethane.
I’ve just sent you an email.
